How much can you earn with ElterngeldPlus?

ElterngeldPlus has a cap. Up to a certain part-time income it therefore stays the same. Here you see where that threshold is for you.

Step 1 of 3

If your baby is already here, use the date of birth.

Why Plus only goes down later

With income after the birth, the replacement rate applies to the difference from your net income before. But ElterngeldPlus is at most half of Basic Elterngeld without income. As long as the difference is large enough, Plus stays at that cap. With Elterngeld net income up to €2,770, the threshold is roughly half of it.

What to keep in mind

At most 32 hours a week on average over the month of life. You prove your part-time income after the payments end. Basic Elterngeld, by contrast, goes down with every euro you earn part-time.
